Admission Process

Application for the admission should be obtained in the month of January from the school office after the payment of the requisite fee. Parents can either come personally or send a request letter through email or download from this website. Fee has to be sent via DD in favor of “The Principal, Oxford English High School, Bangalore – 72″.

All applications for admissions should reach the principal before 20th April of each academic year.

A pupil who has attended any recognized school previously cannot be admitted without a transfer certificate from the last school attended. At the time of admission, the tuition fee, entrance fee for the first term and the curriculum fees must be paid in advance.

All the pupils must appear for the admission test during the time of admission and only successful candidates will be admitted.

Notice for withdrawal of a pupil during the academic year should be given at the beginning of the term and the full term fee should be paid. Parents wishing to withdraw their child after the final examination must inform the principal in writing before the 30th of March. Otherwise one term fee will be charged. School leaving certificates will not be issued until all dues are fully paid and all the library books are returned.

Note to parents

At the time of admission from Class I to Class X, parents are requested to produce a transfer certificate duly signed by the regular principal, vice-principal and it should be countersigned by an officer not below the rank of district inspector of schools of the education department of the state/union territory concerned. In case of student migrating from one school to another school, the transfer certificate will be sent directly to the other school safely by our administrators, with due care

Promotions

Admission fees along with I quarter fees should be paid every academic year before the school re-opens after summer vacations, within the stipulated time.

The quarterly fees has to be paid before the 10th day of the commencement of each quarter

I quarter – Jun-Aug II quarter – Sept-Nov
III quarter – Dec-Feb IV quarter – March-May

Note :- Fine will be collected for the fees paid after the 10th day of the commencement of 2nd term.

Bus fees for the students availing school bus facility should be paid by the 10th day of every month. School bus fees should be paid for all 12 months (June – May) in That Particular academic year. Fine shall be levied for late fee. No student will be allowed to withdraw the school bus facility in between the academic year

GENERAL RULES

  • Parents/guardians should visit the principal’s office at least once every term, on any working day between 9.30 am to 11.00 am to find out about the regularity in attendance, progress, and conduct of their children (by appointment only).
  • Parents/guardians are not allowed to meet the teachers inside the classroom. They should not enter any classroom to see their children or the teacher. Complaints, if any, should be communicated to the principal.
  • Parents are requested to cooperate with the school authorities in enforcing discipline by making sure that their children attend school regularly, do their homework, and devote sufficient time to revise their lessons at home and by taking an active interest in all the activities of school.
  • All the pupils must be present on the reopening day of each term. The names of the students who are absent on the re-opening day will be struck off the rolls and the parents will have to seek re-admission if they want the children to continue in the school.
  • If the pupil is absent due to illness, the principal must be notified immediately. When the pupil returns to the school after the absence of even a single day, the parents must state the reason for his/her absence in the absence record of his/her calendar.
  • Any loss or damage to the school property will have to be replaced by the concerned parents/guardians.
  • Parents are requested to see that the students write their daily homework.
  • Vocational notices and monthly reports are sent through papers. Parents should go through the calendar daily and sign all the notes.
  • Parents are requested to note the dates of issue of progress reports and collect the same. Report cards will not be issued to the students.
  • No pupil is allowed to enter or leave the school premises during school hours including the recess. Strict disciplinary action will be taken against students failing to adhere to the above stated.
  • For not obeying school rules, pupils may be fined or punished at the discretion of the principal.
  • Pupils should realize that they are responsible to the school authorities not only for their conduct in the school but also, for their general behavior outside. Any objections on grounds of conduct on part of the pupils would make them liable for disciplinary action.
  • A pupil who fails consecutively in the same standard is liable for disciplinary action.
  • Any pupil, who is persistently insubordinate or is repeatedly or willfully mischievous or guilty of malpractices or has committed act of serious indiscipline or who in opinion of head of the school has an unwholesome influence on his fellow pupils, may be expelled permanently or removed from the rolls, the reasons thereof recorded in writing.
  • The school academic year for nursery, primary and High school classes commences from May. The academic year is divided into three terms, each of about 4 months, terminating into vacations.
  • On school days, when going out as a school group, the pupils should wear uniforms. Pupils who come without proper uniform will not be allowed into the school.
